Tuesday’s second day of negotiations before the beginning of the free agency period was a slower affair than Monday’s frenzy, and it was Aaron Rodgers and Randy Gregory who took the spotlight.
Aaron Rodgers
After Rodgers had earlier denied reports that he had been handed a four-year, $200m deal, the Packers confirmed an agreement with the reigning MVP, who stays in Green Bay on a three-year extension worth a guaranteed $150 million.
Randy Gregory
The defensive end grabbed the headlines after agreeing a deal with the Dallas Cowboys, before backing out and opting to sign for the Denver Broncos. According to NFL Network, Gregory wasn’t satisfied with the contract offered by Dallas and opted for Denver.
Younghoe Koo
The Atlanta Falcons have made Koo one of the best-paid kickers in the league. His $24.25m contract is the highest overall in his position, while his guaranteed annual salary of $4.85m is second only to the Baltimore Ravens’ Justin Tucker.
D.J. Clark
Although he didn’t get the attention enjoyed by the likes of Davante Adams and Chris Godwin, Clark consolidated his status as a highly dependable wide receiver with the Jacksonville Jaguars. Now, the Detroit Lions will pair him with Amon-Ra St. Brown as part of a $10m, one-year contract.
Shaq Mason
Tom Brady’s return to the NFL has once more made the Tampa Bay Buccaneers a very attractive team to join. Mason is the latest addition to the ranks at Tampa, having arrived in a trade with the New England Patriots, who have been given a fifth-round draft selection in exchange.

Tyrod Taylor
After a season in Houston, Taylor will move to the Big Apple to offer competition to Daniel Jones, whose days at the New York Giants could be numbered. Taylor has agreed a two-year contract worth $11m.
Marcus Williams
After five years with the New Orleans Saints, Williams joins the Ravens on a five-year, $70m deal. The addition of the 25-year-old will make Baltimore’s secondary one of the most complete in the NFL. They already have Chuck Clark, Marlon Humphrey and Jimmy Smith.
J.D. McKissic
Although the Buffalo Bills had one of the best rushing offences in 2021 – 2,209 yards, 20 touchdowns – they have strengthened their resources at running back with the addition of McKissic, who registered 609 yards and four TDs with Washington in 2021.
