The PGA Tour heads to Central Florida, where the best golfers will gather to lift the prestigious trophy. But how much money will the winner take home?

All the eyes are on the Arnold Palmer Invitational. The event, which will be played until March 10, is the season’s fourth of eight Signature Events. It will be played at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge, a private golf resort owned since 1974 by Arnold Palmer in Bay Hill, in Orlando, Florida.

The tournament, one of the more demanding courses of the calendar, will have a 36-hole cut to the top 50 players and ties. Bay Hill is a par 72 that stretches out to nearly 7,500 yards and players may have to deal with rain and wind, according to the forecast.

Kurt Kitayama will be looking to defend his title, although he will have to be more inspired than top players like the world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, or Viktor Hovland.

Arnold Palmer Invitational: prize money

The winner of the Arnold Palmer Invitational will be awarded with the prestigious trophy, but will also take home a substantial amount of money. The event features a $20 million total purse, including $4 million to the champion.
