The boxing and the MMA stars will collide in what is expected to be an explosive battle between heavyweights in Riyadh.

Will Tyson Fury’s boxing IQ and talent get him an easy win in Saudi Arabia? Or will Francis Ngannou’s devastating power surprise The Gipsy King for a shocking win? Those questions will soon be answered, as both men will meet inside the ring on Saturday.

The Brit respects Ngannou, as it will be the Cameroonian’s first boxing fight and he will compete against one of the best heavyweight boxers in history, while the former UFC champion believes that his dedication during the last months and confidence will lead him to an epic win.

I’m going to knock him out inside six rounds,” Fury said. “I’ll get on the front foot, high arm, catch him with a punishing jab, 19/20 stone in the face. Bust him up, swell his eyes out, and bang, KO. On the front foot, not running away”, Fury recently said.

Meanwhile, the African star hopes to beat the odds and shock the world, despite Fury’s warnings.

“Let’s be honest, I haven’t gained any respect from the boxing community, so I’m not expecting anybody to respect me,” he said. “I think I need to gain my own respect, to claim my own respect”, Ngannou stated.

Fury vs Ngannou: the odds

It’s no surprise that the Brit is a massive favorite to get the job done against the former UFC heavyweight king on Saturday.

He possesses an undefeated record of 33-0-1, proving his greatness against the very best heavyweights. He’s expected to face Oleksandr Usyk in December, but Fury is aware that his focus should be on Francis now.

For those who fancy brave bets, a victory for the underdog Ngannou offers a value of 9/1 (10), while the Cameroonian great getting his hand raised by KO or TKO is paid at 11/1 (12).

Fury vs Ngannou: prediction

The non-title exhibition bout between Fury and Ngannou won’t see the final bell. The fight is likely to finish with a knockdown or a technical stoppage given both men’s power and size.

Who will come out on top? The answer seems reasonably easy. It should be Fury, and with ease. The Wythenshawe native has all the tools not only to defeat Ngannou but to beat any professional boxer in the world.

Moreover, Fury has gone undefeated since he started his boxing career and he’s probably not planning on losing that status, especially when he’s expected to fight the WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champion next.

Ngannou has proven to be an excellent athlete who has excelled as a mixed martial arts fighter, but switching to boxing is not as easy as it may seem.

Francis has proven he can learn new fighting styles efficiently, as he proved against Cyril Gane in a fight where he dominated his opponent on the ground, something he had to train for that fight. However, the fight will take place in a boxing ring, and that’s Fury’s world.
