The Philadelphia Phillies (58-30) and Atlanta Braves (47-39) play the second game of a three-game series on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at Truist Park in Atlanta, GA. First pitch is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FOX.

The Braves are slight favorites with a moneyline of -112, while the Phillies are slight underdogs at -108. The run line is set at Phillies -1.5 (+155) and Braves +1.5 (-190), with the over/under at 8.5 runs.

In the series opener on Friday, the Phillies emerged victorious with an 8-6 win, extending their lead over the Braves in the NL East to 10 games. Trea Turner had a remarkable performance, going 2-for-4 with two home runs and four RBIs.

Aaron Nola earned his 10th win of the season, allowing three earned runs while striking out eight in six innings. Despite the loss, the Braves showed offensive power with homeruns from Ozzie Albies, Marcell Ozuna, and Austin Riley.

Looking ahead to Saturday’s matchup, the Phillies will send left-hander Ranger Suarez (10-2, 2.27 ERA) to the mound, while the Braves will counter with rookie right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach (1-4, 5.68 ERA).

Suarez will aim to bounce back from his worst start of the season against the Miami Marlins, where he allowed six runs on 10 hits and two walks in 4 2/3 innings without registering a strikeout. Despite this setback, Suarez has been one of the best pitchers in the National League this season and will look to regain his form against the Braves.

The Braves are slight favorites in this matchup with a moneyline of -112, implying a 51% probability of winning the game. Conversely, the Braves are slight underdogs at -105, suggesting a 47.2% chance of victory.

Despite being the way team, Philadelphia’s negative Saturday MLB odds reflect the team’s overall success this season and their 10-game lead over the Braves in the NL East. Philadelphia is +400 in the World Series odds, while Atlanta is more of a longshot at +900.
